What do we wear for a family shoot ?
Something you enjoy wearing is my answer. You need to feel relaxed and comfortable , if you feel awkward and unhappy about what you are wearing then this will show through to the camera. Try to avoid stripes and bold graphic prints though as these tend to attract the eye straight to that part of the image .
Can you arrange hair & makeup ?
Yes I most certainly can, however that comes at an additional cost, just let me know what you would like, this will normally add two - three hours to your photo shoot timing, dependant on your requirements.
Do you travel ?
Yes Yes and Yes I most certainly do - however travel costs and accomodation need to be discussed during the booking process .
Do you have an online gallery for clients ?
Yes I like to use shootproof for my galleries and i will send you a link to your own gallery which you can then share with your family and friends You can download photo’s directly from the gallery for social sharing , you can order prints and much much more.
Can we extend the shooting time on booking ?
Yes you most definitely can, but it comes at an additional cost of $300 per hour or part thereof. Happy to discuss what you need for your special occasion
How many photo’s / images will we get ?
A portrait normally 20-30, a family between 40-70 dependant on location variety, and a wedding I would expect to deliver between 300 for a small wedding and up to 700 for a larger wedding dependant on group & family shots required and settings and the number of hours that the wedding is booked for, eg hair makeup, reception, first dance etc. Editing is done at the sole discretion of the artist and I will remove any photo’s that have blinking eyes, or motion blur or double up’s of the same or similar images.
How long before I get my photo’s ?
Each photo from your shoot is individually edited by me and I take a great deal of care to deliver you with beautiful images , so good things normally take time like fine wine and cheese or watching the pohutukawa grow , however a family package will normally be back to you via your online gallery within two weeks, wedding will be between 4-6 weeks - I will send you a few sneak peek photo’s within 24-48 hours for you to share and post to social media.
Do you photoshop photo’s ?
Sometimes you just simply have to , I will remove a bad pimple that is on someone’s face, or redness from a new born’s face , I will remove a post a pole or something that should not be in the photo use editing software to deliver you with the best possible photos that represent you and your special moments captured by me, however please note I will not shrink your body face, arms legs etc
I can arrange for advanced photoshop to be done at your request but this comes at an additional editing costs of $300 per hour as it will be out-sourced.
Why do you like to incorporate landscapes, seascapes and people ?
Because its simply beautiful results ! i love to create beautiful images that you can hang on your walls for years to come that evoke warm and fuzzy feelings when you look at them
Do you have a second shooter ?
Most certainly i can arrange that for you at an additional cost let me know what your’e thinking . If you feel that you need greater coverage of the day then that can most certainly be arranged. I will not use anybody that I do not trust and know their work and are completely at ease with delivering fab results for you, so please don’t ask me if uncle Rob can use his mirrorless to tag along, Im sorry but it wont be happening .
Who has the copyright on the photos ?
We both do!! You will have the rights to copy, reproduce and share images as much as you like , however you will need to get my permission first if you want to ‘on-sell’ or use the images for commercial purposes .
When is my date and time confirmed for my booking ?
When you pay your 20% deposit your date and time will be most definitely confirmed and I will send you an email confirming payment and your booking confirmation . However i will not save dates or times unless your deposit is paid otherwise I could miss out on another booking. Final payment will be required within the week of your booking without exception .
